Hello there!! I hope you are all well and having a great weekend. Just got back from a holiday to France with the family and baby's first. He was really a good boy and seem not bothered with what's going on around him. I had such a lovely time and enjoyed a day in an amusement site with all the scary rides to try. The north of France is certainly captivating. Below are my favorites photos of each place we visited.
We stayed in a farming village called Embry. Some of the houses here are currently owned by English or Dutch families as they liked the quiet and attractive countryside. I like the way people decorate their homes in a very unique way like recycling farming tools, materials such as a milk jug to adorn railings or entry. Most have flowers adorning the front of the house. The windows have shutters too and the doors are really colourful and decorated like the next photo.
You can also find derelict properties almost forgotten which is a real shame.
The next stop was the market place in Hesdin where I first tried rabbit sausages.. mmhhh not so fond of them.
One of my favorite place is Montreuil-sur-Somme. This is a town surrounded by a wall and used to be a sea port hence the name. What I like about this town is it reminds me of Impressionism very much. The streets are so lovely and the tiled roofs stood out with its bright terracotta shades. The trees are so elegant to and walking around the rampart is like visiting a different time. It's uniquely French.
I hope these images gave you an idea of how enchanting these places are. Have a productive week ahead.
