The Bells of Spring

Yup! I'm still around. Perhaps reflecting at most times and wondering how different Lent is in the UK. Where I come from, this season is such a huge thing and a big part of families and individuals. I remember walking under scorching heat during the procession of the cross and looking forward to a hot pot of fruits cooked in coconut milk. It may sound weird but until now I still miss my mum's version of the dish. Everytime I speak to her over the phone I asked if she's cooking it this time and what she'll add to it. Just feeling nostalgic these days.
So what did I give up for Lent? I wish I had done something noble but all I could afford these days is cut my food intake; in other words seriously go on a diet. I had committed some serious offence by eating French cakes and cheeses let alone subjected to good French wines..sigh..I know.. so this is my penance.

With the impending Royal wedding which is keeping the whole country excited and getting ready for the biggest day of the decade perhaps, I hope that we all stop and reflect on how things have been in the past and present. May we be thankful for all the graces we received and remember the sacrifice one man had done for humanity.

The Bluebells coudn't have come perfect for this time of the year. I wasn't expecting to see the first blossom in France as shown in the first photo. The rest were taken from our garden. Have a blessed days to come.
