Guy Fawkes Night..

In Britain , the night of November 5th is always celebrated. They call it Guy Fawkes Night. This is to remember the man who tried to blow the Parliament but failed to do so.

During this night people gather in parks or places organized by the town council to witness fireworks and bonfires. While I'm writing this now I could here my neighbor's fireworks going off which means that I have to keep my dog inside away from my conservatory otherwise the poor little thing will have an hour or two of deafening experiences.

This traditions reminds me more of Christmas or the New Year in the Philippines in a conservative way.

Let's see if this tradition is affected by the credit crunch. I doubt it...

a friend's gift..

I came home today, physically and emotionally exhausted but got cheered up by a friend's gift all the way from Japan. Thank you very much dear! You know who you are. I really love this precious gift that I intend to keep them in their packaging. I was naughty though because I had a look what's inside and they all looked perfect....

Sigh!!! These images served their purpose- to make every heart flutter. YJ you might be the most goodlooking guy with that thing between your fingers but you know it's not going to do any good at all. Fleeting pleasures in life I call them.

This is one of the surprises. A photo which I could put in a frame. Thank you very much for giving me these precious gifts.

As a way of celebrating this day, I popped opened a bottle of wine like Yj in the photo. I have to research which one is that now. Oh dear, another homework YJ.

adrenalin rush

All day Sunday I was fidgeting, anxious and very nervous and what made me feel this way? Only Formula One! Yes! I have to speak about this sport to free the excitement off me and share my love for the Grand Prix.

I only started watching this sport since 2007. Some people I know couldn't get into it and find it boring and nothing but a crazy sport with mad drivers overspeeding at over 100 miles per hour.

But F1 is much exciting and thanks to a British young driver Lewis Hamilton. It's his second season this year but he managed to bag the world championship title for just a point. How cool is that???And he did this in the last corner of the last lap. For me he's one special sportsman.. determine, daredevil, and down to earth. He shook the F1's world by being the youngest ever and first Black British to win the driver's championship. He truly deserves this win and I thank God for hearing my prayers all day. Someone is smilling at him definitely and I thank him for that!

Happy Halloween!!

Marie arrived as a witch with her box of chocolates. It was truly good fun. It 's good to see everyone having a great time.

Bae Yong Joon's Travel Book

When I found out about YJ's letter from a Baesister I couldn't believe it since I never thought he would write in his homepage and communicate to us. However when I read about it I was really touched an excited about his new venture. A week before he had written I showed him pictures of the Yorkshire Dales in Britain which I took as an amateur photographer. I am also learning the skill and hopefully would become a professional someday.

So when I found out that he wanted a photobook about Korea I was left stunned. It made me think, did he see the pictures I posted and decided to go over his plan or was it just a mere coincidence? It might be the latter reason, but I am still very glad that we share the same passion. Go for it BYJ!!

How long has it been since I first saw you in WLS? It must be six years but here I am again still following and trying to get connected with you. To be honest I am waiting for the day that you settle down and be happy with someone who will look after you. Because it is such a beautiful thing to happen though many hearts would be broken but let's face it , you have all the chances and support in the world. Money would never be your problem and it's finding the person you could share a life with is the utmost challenge that you have to conquer yourself.

Up to all these years, you have transformed yourself, succeeded and worked on what you want to achieve in life but at the end of the day you are Bae Yong Joon and millions believe and support you. Live your life the way you wanted it. Be free and free as a Eagle. Don't be afraid.. it's not what we see that tells us who you are but what you have done in this life..
