Man and Wife

Hello there! Such a relief that this day is nearly over and William and Catherine were finally married. I'd never thought I'd be able to witness this special day let alone celebrate being British. After all this is also a national event which brings the people together. As the days unfold we all waited in anticipation and wishing the weather would co-operate. Indeed it did and as what those who were around Westminster recalled, the sun shone as she walked down that isle.
Seeing not just the pageantry but two young people who are undoubtedly in love and supportive of each other I couldn't hold back the tears. I was just so happy for them. I'm glad they found each other and wish they'd continue to love and support one another as long as they both shall live and reign.
There are many things that's quite poignant on today's event. William holding his wife's hand when they weren't waving to the crowds, the double kiss and leaving the palace by driving his wife back to Clarence House was truly unexpected which symbolized that this is a modern couple who would bring fresh air to the British monarchy.
Not only did they become man and wife, Prince William and Catherine were also named Duke and Duchess of Cambridge which made us who live in Cambridgeshire very proud.
I hope you had a lovely day too.

By the way, we had Coronation Chicken for dinner which you might want to know :-)
