How's your weekend? Perhaps not quite the same as mine. Lying in bed observing the back field as the horizon becoming greyer each hour is not my idea of a relatively sunny Sunday morning. A jugful of water, sports drink, cups of coffee, Twilight books and dvd, phone, camera with photos screaming to come out and a bucket are my faithful company.. The latter is there just in case I don't make it fast to the bathroom. Alex gave me a new name this morning 'chunder monkey'. Lovely!
So what brought all this unlikely appearance? Party at work. I forgot how lethal a party is in Britain. Partly because I try to skip parties and I have stopped going out. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you know what you are doing. That means you should have a good meal before hand (but if you are going for a meal try not to finish a glass of wine before you eat otherwise you'd get dunk pretty quickly). This is one of the biggest mistakes I had. I was rushing to get my dress that I forgot to eat lunch. Then I thought I'd stick to vodka and coke since I was used to be fine with this drink but I forgot the last time I had vodka I didn't like it at all. (I just gone off it)That's the second mistake. Third say no to drinks offered to you other than what you are drinking. Such as shots of God knows what I had last night. At first I thought it was Sambuca but I now think they were flavored vodka. Not a good idea.
Dancing doesn't help either. The more you move the more tiddly you'd become. However when everybody is having fun and enjoying themselves who would be able to resist the beat especially when your favorite tune is being played. Nevermind the both left feet or right feet excuses.
So what did I learn from last night? Having fun is good but looking after yourself is the prime agenda. From the look of it alcohol poisoning is not the best thing to have either. So be responsible.
I will leave you the only song I remembered dancing and singing my heart out last night. .Enjoy.

Dear Hyds,
Great you can see the humour in the situation. Hope you're recovering fast!
Hope you feel better soon. It's interesting you posted that particular clip of WS. Everytime I hear Dancing Queen on the radio, I instantly think of this scene.
Dear Hyds,
Sorry to hear that you had a rough weekend. Thanks for sharing. I guess as the holidays are around the corner and there are many parties around, it's a good time to remind us about alcohol consumption. Hope you are feeling better already.
Have a Merry Christmas!
love ... jaime

Dear Gosijo,
I went to work today smiling.. I just laughed at myself knowing I wasn't the only one who had the same circumstances. It was good fun.
Thanks, I am feeling better now ;-)
Cheers Tammy! It's great to see BYJ again in that clip.
Hi Jaime,
It's ok, you learn from it and it would probably take another year to get into such state if I could help it lol.
Merry Christmas to you too. :-)
Love,
Hyds
