Edward's Carnival

Hi!! We had a very successful carnival party for Edward's advance first birthday celebration. I was pleased to see the kids enjoying themselves and participating on various games. The adults liked the food too and oh my goodness I thought I didn't make enough desserts but I was wrong..up to now we still have the whole cake and will perhaps eat it on Edward's big day on the 10th. Anyhow, I hope you have a lovely week ahead. Here are some of the pics..

I made clown cupcakes while the Oreo ones were from Alex aunt.

Never thought macaroons were so difficult to make..still not perfect but tasted soo yummy though.

I made some sugar cookies also and marshmallows with white chocolate coating.

I never thought I'd be able to make this cake but I did..gosh it was fun! Yes there were popcorns and hotdogs too..Shame about the candy floss..the machine we bought weren't as good as they'd said so we had to abandon the idea. Plenty of sweets and cake pops for the kids though.

We decorated the playroom with lights and a carnival theme.

The gorgeous birthday boy!!! I can't believe he's nearly a year..love you loads Edward!

autumn watch

Hello!!! I have been so busy recently. We are back in the house for a few days and it felt so good to be home. It's hectic on my part but I'm sorting out some routine. This week I am actually looking forward to as Edward's party will be next Saturday on Bonfire Night. Plenty of baking for me these coming days..

For three months since we left home the garden certainly needed lots of attention. I just happened to do a bit of pruning today and perhaps tidying up soon. Well, I'm hoping you are having a chilled weekend.

the move

Hi!! Finally done it.. I've gone back to blogger.I don't know if it's going to affect anything with my contacts but will soon visit your sites if you can't access this one. What's it all about? I just come to the conclusion that I would be focused on subjects which I like. This would include still, BYJ, Asian dramas and events including my life here in the UK.

At the moment I am still on the process of getting our lives back together again since the accident. Normalcy would probably resume when we are all back to our own house and tomorrow is the moment of truth. I'm praying that hubby would get back on his feet with no problem although I won't dismissed the difficulties he might encounter let alone the pain. So wish us all the best. Have a lovely week ahead. Recent BYJ Interview

How come I missed this one? Now you'd think I'm a certified slowcoach..Anyhow we don't know when we could hear BYJ get interviewed again so I thought I'd repost this one translated by cloudnine.. superb job..thank you very much.

Q: You must be tired after the event. It’s been a while since you met your family (fans), how do you feel now?

A: I’m most grateful and at the same time I feel sorry. Due to my health problem I was very sorry for not appearing much in the drama. I’m deeply sorry even for today’s event, because if I could sing or dance like my juniors, I would have shown it.

I wish to show my work as an actor, but it has not been decided yet, I feel terribly sorry for this too.

Q: For ‘Dream High’ you joined not only as an actor but also as a producer, how did you find it?

A: It was my first attempt, which put me in a different position from acting. I think I could see the parts which I had missed while I was working only as an actor. Also about the drama I could acquire the broader understanding and which was very helpful for acting. What I had no chance to see as only an actor , this time from a viewpoint of a production company I was able to see, and that is for example how the direction was and how the staff were working.

Actors tend to be quite selfish on the set inevitably. For them, acting is above everything else and building up character’s emotions is very important. So actors really don’t notice other things. Now I can look over such parts, but this doesn’t mean I don’t focus on my character or acting. I had no idea how much it costs to produce a drama, however now I understand how much we need.

Q: If you have an another chance, would you like to work as a producer again?

A: If I do so, my family might say something to me (laughs). For the time being, I will be a full-time actor; however as for ‘Dream High 2’, I wish to be involved in the project at least.

Actually here (in the dressing room of Saitama Arena), JYP and I were having a kind of meeting about the story. The theme for the drama is ‘dream’.

In the event when being asked ‘What is a dream?’, I answered that for me it’s a high ideal which I can’t reach. In the true sense fulfilling dreams or saying that the dream came true are very serious matter and difficult to do. It’s something like reaching an unreachable state of mind, that is what we call in Buddhism ‘attaining an enlightened state of mind’ I think.

In today’s event, JYP suggested me to become a director, which I consider one of my dreams rather than a goal. I have no idea if it’s possible or not, but for me it’s my dream.

Q: We are living in a tough world, difficult times in many ways. For young people, it’s getting harder to pursue their dreams. For those people what kind of advice would you give?

A: I suppose young people don’t know much about the world yet. They just have no idea about what kind of jobs are there or, what kind of jobs they can do, so at any rate I want them to try a lot of things. I want them to make effort to try anything. This may be called curiosity and I want them to see various things and feel them.

Above all the most important thing is to do their best at this moment. Doing their utmost effort now will lead them to their future, and it will also bring their dreams into shape. It will be a process to understand what dreams are.

Q: Fans who came to the event, as well as fans who didn’t, both care about how you will appear in the next work. About your new work do you mind sharing as much as possible at this stage?

A: First I will work on the ‘Dream High 2’ project and in addition I will return to my day job. I’m making my utmost effort in order to start shooting at the earliest possible time. However as there is nothing concrete, I can’t tell you anything, but I think I will do a drama.


Q: While you were filming the drama TWSSG, you broke the ligament of the index finger, injured the cervical spine and shoulder ligament. Early this year you were hospitalized due to a herniated disk. How are you feeling now?

A: Actually I haven’t fully recovered yet. From old times they say ‘Health is above everything else’ , or ‘If you are in good health, you can do anything.’

These words deeply pierced me to the heart now. I vaguely thought that I would get well with time, but then I found that I hardly recovered just with time. So in order to really get healthy I’m making various efforts now.

Straight from the heart

Hello!! How's your midweek? I know, I am beginning to wonder myself in those contemplative moments of mine when Edward was asleep and not screaming or as what my health visitor would refer to as 'vocalisation' that I should be writing more about Bae Yong Joon since this site was name after him. I  think in one of these days I will switch back to blogger and change the blog name. I am just finding the right timing or when I am actually in a mood to do it. I am still indecisive at the moment. However I do read other posts on him from the business side to his unwavering charisma as an actor and being the man of the hour.

Few weeks ago there was a documentary on Panorama aired by BBC about the devastating effect of the recent tsunami in Japan. Although most of the world have moved on and put the tragic event behind them still I was touched on the immensity of the destruction it brought. I couldn't help but feel sorry for those who lost loved ones, friends and colleagues. I also admire the remarkable spirit of those who survived and determined to find others who were still missing up to these days.

We all know that Bae Yong Joon provided aid in this matter and I am pleased to know that many people from the affected areas or not  sent thankful wishes for his humble gifts which made people's lives in the evacuation area more comfortable .

Not all of us could do the same but I believe that little things do count not only money. A time given to a friend in need may prove simple but could mean the world and life changing.

With regards to my blog..it will get sorted at the right time. Have a pleasant day ahead.
