BYJ Update

Translated by Suehan.
BYJ and KHJ decided to work together.
Sports Hankook 2010-04-30 06:41
‘A big movement' will occur in Hallyu market when they support each other.

‘Yonsama’, Bae Yong Joon and ‘Little Yonsama’, Kim Hyun Joong met secretly late one night.

They met at a certain place in Gangnam, Seoul late at night on the 28th. They had a meeting with their right–hand staff for long hours. The topic of the conversation of that night was unknown, but it’s believed that they might have exchanged the conversation about the overall entertainment activities including those in Japan.

One of their staff said, “Kim Hyun Joong had a consultation with Bae Yong Joon whenever he faced an important matter. He regards BYJ as his ‘role model’, trusts and depends on Bae Yong Joon.”

(omitted)
News about their meeting became the best topic in the entertainment industry. They developed a relationship after they encountered several times while working overseas last year. There is a 14 year age difference between them. However, it has been known that they have developed trust in each other through respect and thoughtfulness. It’s anticipated that there will be a great effect in the Hallyu market if they support each other even while working in different management companies.

A staff member said, “The future of Hallyu market is in their hands, and Japanese fans are delighted to hear the news that they are developing a caring relationship. I believe that they will fulfill their roles pushing and pulling Hallyu in the future.”

It's actually an interesting news.. looking forward to this collaboration. Thanks Suehan for the translation.

Back in Town

Hi everyone!! I have been back from a very good trip. We had to cut it short as the forecast didn't sound good and didn't think we could endure any more walking. :-(  I never thought I'd find mountains in England and beautiful lakes. I'm still amazed from what I saw and experienced. Also nursing aching legs and calves from walking miles. Must be really prepared next time. I will write more about the trip and show you some photos when I'm fully recovered. For now here are good photos of YJ which you have probably seen somewhere as part of the AB campaign. Photo credit as labeled.

Time Off

Hey there!
I hope you are having a restful weekend. I would be off for a holiday this coming week.. Thank goodness for that.. it's been 7 months since we've been away and so many life changing things happened. But if it's bad it's an experience, right?
I mentioned in the past about walking on the fells and follow Wainwright's footsteps. This is my chance to fulfill that challenge. I just hope the weather would be nice to us as I need some photos for the modules I'm working on too. I also set up a new season resolution which I'd like to do, that is to take  a photo of something  a day. It's not going to be easy but I shall try.
So I hope to see you soon. Stay well and happy. I leave you this photo I took from my friend's tank. I think it's cute as this little fella was busy eating  the weeds which were growing on the side hence I call this 'Caught in the Act'.  Take care xx

BYJ Update

translated by tomato99

Greetings, dear family

Today, Bae Yong Joon has returned to Korea.

During his two weeks stay in Japan, he sent his greetings at grand opening of
Lotte City Hotel Kinshicho, he had preparations for his charity activities, and had several meetings related to his future works.

Since this visit was un-official, he did not have a chance to send his greetings to the family, but with your understanding and support, he has finished his schedule in Japan and fulfilling time in his private time.

Bae Yong Joon was very happy to be able to spend relaxing time and went back to his country.
Bae Yong Joon will soon start to prepare for his next work.
Bae Yong Joon and all his staff will do our best to grow and change in new style
for next work so that he will be able to greet to you again.

We ask you for your continuing support.
It is a beautiful season with new green leaves.
Everyone, please spend healthy and happy days.

Many thanks.

BYJ pics in Japan

Hi! Have you been enjoying the weekend? It's been a glorious day here in East Anglia considering our airspace is still compromise from the eruption of an Iceland volcano. I wish nature would give in actually as many people have suffered from this unavoidable disaster.
Speaking of travelling there are some pics coming out when YJ was in Japan looking happy after all.  I am still delighted to see him happy and smilling. Enjoy your day.. many thanks to arayo.

Lovin' the white jacket.

Blue for you

Hi!!! I hope you are keeping well. I just come back from work, exhausted but still managed to squeeze in a weekly food shopping spree. Things that you just have to do eh..
While at work this morning , my colleague and I had this conversation about flowers. I happened to ask if there's really such a thing called Blue Rose.I heard of it when I was a kid from a drama when a woman asked her beau to bring her a Blue Rose. I thought it was just a sweet plea but when a translation about YJssi liking a Blue Rose came out it made me wonder what it really look like or if it does exist at all.

So this colleague of mine suggested David Austin coz she happened to order Black Rose from him. I am not really into horticulture but apparently he had produced various varieties of rare English roses over the years and have been a favorite household name in the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.

Now you've wondered if I got myself a Blue Rose, right? I have ordered it but the nearest I could find in his collection is the Blue For You and the other one you could get is called Rhapsody in Blue (below) which I think is rather pretty.

I must say I got interested with this variety. I've come to like it and can't wait to see it in bloom.
I hope you'll have a lovely weekend ahead.

quick note

Hello there!
I hope your working week has gone smoothly. It's been quite dull where I am and already hoping the weekend would be much better. A temporary halt on any strenuous activity is much preffered these days.
I believe like you, we're wating for something more interesting in the Bae front. Recently we've found out from the translated news that he will be playing a role in the Dream High production.

Please read here.

This has come as a surprise as I didn't expect him to be in it however he could well fit as one of the professors or the main coach of the group. Oh well, that's something to keep an eye out.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Repost-Dream High Production

So after all the rumors "Dream High" is finally on the cards  about to be produced later on this year according to Suehan's translation. From the sound of it,  it's Asia's answer to Glee or High School Musical. I don't mind since I like this sort of genre. It would be interesting to know which young actors would join in.(I lost track of who's who these days..it would be nice to see fresh faces). Could they bring back the F4 ? I'm sure they can really dance, sing and act.

Run girl, run..

Walking a marathon is eeeeeasy. With a choice of a walk, jog or run ; the first is pretty much the easiest. That’s why I agreed to walk/run the 5k Race for Life for Cancer Research next month. I thought I have walked 5 miles before in one of the most rugged and isolated place in Yorkshire where your earnest companions are Peregrines and a ground covered with limestone.

But when my friend said her new target is 58 minutes it made me nearly choke on my tea. It took her 60 minutes the last time contrary to my almost one day walk. My legs started to ache when I heard it.

I had to rethink whether I was serious enough for the challenge. Then again hubby couldn’t run due to an accident and 5 members in my mum side of the family died of cancer in their thirties-you do the Maths for me. So decision made I will walk or run this marathon. Whichever way I have to train as my friend kept bugging me to do the 10k run in September. I haven’t attempted this first one yet which I thought would be a good test of my endurance plus it’s all for a good cause.
Five kilometres seemed like a reasonable target. One hundred yards in, I realized I was running out breath and baggy trousers turned into a stiff, heavy baggage which made me feel and look ridiculous. It definitely showed how unfit I am and 5k has become 5miles.
Half a mile and I wished I brought Sonny with me or a music player. This meant that at 5mph I was going to run then speed walk in silence.

There is something deeply meditative about running and walking. I have felt the strong connection between body and landscape. I kept looking at how one area of the field was covered in shadows while the other side was basking over the rays of the midday sun. I was getting thirsty and slightly bored but the consolation was our doorstep was just around the corner.
Knowing this is Britain and how easy the weather changes after a few more stride, the heavens opened while temperature dropped a little. Instead of turning towards home I decided to do another loop. My hair was getting wet and my shoes started to squelch while my toes were screaming in pain.

When I got home, I was hot, wet, sweating in buckets and panting. I got changed and sat in the sofa thinking what was I doing.

The following day I had spent all morning getting rid of a runny nose( beg your pardon if you're having a coffee break while reading this), bombarding myself with pain killers and an early hour in bed. When I thought I still had the strength to make another run on a lovely Monday morning, I found myself on a first appointment to a GP for an infection after a sleepless night. Now I’m stuck in bed looking out and wondering when could I run or speed walk again.

It was then that I realized walking is just as hard as running. And marathons aren’t something one should underestimate no matter how far or short the distance is. If you think it’s easy, think again.

Fancy a cuppa??

Hi Everyone! The working week has come to an end again. I hope you had a lovely time and enjoyed this week's highlight- YJ's not too secret visit to Japan. Since most of us are geared for the weekend many would find themselves in various places and for those who live in Seoul they could luckily visit Cafe Artienue which just recently opened.
This place is very spacious and apparently consist of a gallery and a cafe. The former includes costumes and belongings which he have used in some projects and were brought in for people to see.
You'll also find collectibles from WLS Anime. Yujin's necklace and Junsang's birthstone. Very cute..
I personally like this figure..such a welcoming character.
Now I wonder when they'll open a cafe or restaurant in London.
For full translation please visit Suehan's blog. Many, many thanks. Have  a lovely weekend.

A very delighted face...We are very happy to see you too. :-)
Many many thanks for sharing these photos.

BYJ's Japan Visit

Hallyu Star Bae Yong Joon visited Japan on April 5th.
His management company said, “Bae Yong Joon visitied Japan for the invitation of the opening of Lotte City Hotel which was held in the morning on the 6th. On that day, Lotte Hotel opened in Japan for the first time, and he present white china, which was made by an Korean artist, to congratulate its opening.” A piece of china, which he presented, will be displayed in the hotel.
It was known that he arrived in Japan through another city, not Tokyo, for security reasons and smoother procedures.
He has donated the treatment equipments to eight hospitals in Japan for premature infants since last year, and the same afternoon, he visited the children’s hospital in Yokohama where the equipment was installed under his name and stretched his donation activities.
On that day, he met the infants, who were having treatemnts on the beds he donated, and their parents and comforted them.
Someone related to his management company said, “There is a shortage in treatment beds for premature infants and specialized doctors worldwide,” and “He donated them to provide momentum to get more supporters and interest to save the precious lives and help the infants to get healthy from the treatments.”

Take and Make

Hi!! I'd like to share this simple yet fun trick I did with some of my old photos. In photography they call it digital hand-tinting. It's an age-old technique but I just got around to try it. Here's what I did.. I obviously need more practice.

Happy Easter

Hi everyone!
Easter has finally arrived and there has been a joyous spirit in the air. Instead of hunting for eggs, hubby and I ended up papering the wall. I have been wanting to redecorate the house after living here for three years now. We had this conversation earlier about the time we spent in this town and wondered where have all the days or years gone. But it's good to do something in return. A nice mediterranean yellow and a warm blue to replicate a Victorian era is just what I intended the house to look like. You might think it's a weird combination but I think it's going to work.

On the Bae front I get the impression that the conflict with JYP has moved into a different direction. Whatever is the outcome really all I 'm hoping that YJ will start on a project  that he would like to do as soon as possible and of course in good health.

For those who have been following DATV's History of Bae Yong Joon, you might have wondered why I only started talking about that here. I even cringed while writing that title. I think it's just personal. For me BYJ is well and truly alive and I would have wished they chose a much better heading but then again they call the shots.
Have a good week ahead. ;-)

Wish there would be more shots like these instead.

Happy Easter

Hello there!!! I didn't realize it's the first of April today. It's April's Fools Day and soon kids will be hunting for Easter eggs. I would like to do that actually but I would be working tomorrow while the big hunt would take place in our local park.
As the weeks unfolds am quite saddened by this rumors of YJ being in conflict with another actor for the production of Dream High. I thought it would have been a good idea. I was envisioning High School Musicals slash Glee. I like musicals as I love to sing though I can't really sing. LOL
I hope this would be resolved and both parties would reached an amicable agreement.
I'd like to share Glee's new season promo.

Happy Easter!!
